OVERVIEW

JOB TITLE: CISC Tutor

LOCATION: St. Paul Campus, In-Person OSS 4th Floor CISC Tutoring Lab

PAY RATE: $16.50 / hrHOURS: 1.5-8 hrs / wk

 

JOB SUMMARY: The Department of Computer and Information Sciences is seeking student tutors to assist students enrolled in CISC 130 and CISC 131. These tutors will provide support to increase the understanding of and comfort with the concepts being taught in CISC 130 and CISC 131. Tutors are required to work on campus in the CISC Tutoring Lab.  The CISC department tutoring program operates durring the Spring and Fall Semesters.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates must have completed CISC 130 and CISC 131 with a grade of "B" or better.
  • Candidates should be able to provide the name of a faculty member who can provide a positive recommendation.
  • Candidates must be able to work within the hours of 5:30pm and 8:30pm during weekdays, and 4:00pm through 8:00pm on Sundays.

 

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
