Description

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative, and curious Digital Content Coordinator to help maintain and strengthen SPCO’s digital presence. This role supports website content, digital media assets, analytics, and digital platform updates in partnership with marketing leadership and colleagues across the organization. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, comfortable working with digital tools and data, and interested in helping audiences connect with SPCO’s music, musicians, and mission through accessible and engaging digital experiences. This is a part-time, hourly position with a variable schedule that will average 25 hours per week.  This is a hybrid position with a high degree of flexibility for remote work, with in-person work required as needed for rehearsals, concerts, events, and other organizational activities.


POSITION SUMMARY 

The Digital Content Coordinator supports SPCO’s digital presence by maintaining the organization’s website, assisting with the completion of the current website rebuild, managing approved digital media assets, and preparing basic analytics to help inform marketing decisions and audience engagement strategies. This role works closely with marketing leadership, colleagues across the organization, and external partners to ensure SPCO’s digital platforms are accurate, accessible, timely, and reflective of the organization’s artistic excellence. Through careful attention to content, user experience, digital accessibility, and audience behavior, the Digital Content Coordinator helps connect current and future audiences with SPCO’s music, musicians, and mission.  This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

 

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Support the development and execution of a digital content strategy that advances organizational goals and audience growth 

• Maintain video, audio and other digital media assets across streaming platforms 

• Participate in general operations of the marketing department, including proofreading of marketing materials, both print and digital 

• Coordinate with marketing leadership and external vendors on website projects, including the current website rebuild, with attention to SEO, user experience, accessibility, and content accuracy

• Serve as day-to-day contact for website vendor regarding routine technical issues, content updates, upgrades and troubleshooting, escalating larger strategic or technical questions as appropriate

• Pull and summarize basic website and digital platform analytics to help inform marketing decisions, audience engagement strategies, and retargeting efforts[AR1.1]

• Ensure a seamless digital experience across all devices and platforms by identifying issues and coordinating followup as needed 

• Build concert event pages and make updates to other content and copy on the SPCO website

• Upload approved video and audio content to digital platforms, ensuring content is accurate, timely and aligned with organizational priorities

• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

Required Qualifications and Skills 

• Basic understanding of website analytics

• Basic understanding of SEO, user experience, and digital accessibility best practices

• Strong organizational and project coordination skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread digital and print materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistency 

• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact with staff, vendors and external partners 

• Demonstrated ability to use digital tools, online platforms, and standard office software

• Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

• Strong professional communication skills including successful and appropriate use of email and other communication tools 

 

Desired Qualifications 

• Experience maintaining website content for an organization, business, nonprofit, or creative project

• Experience working with digital media assets, including video and audio files

• Familiarity with digital advertising, retargeting, or audience engagement tools

• Enthusiasm for and appreciation of the classical music art form and digital media
