Overview

Candidate will work 40 hours contacting by telephone and other approved communication methods (emails, text, flyers) eligible blood donors who have previously given blood and re-recruits them to donate regularly while also meeting the team measurements each month.  

Responsibilities

  • By telephone and other approved communication methods (emails, text, flyers), contacts eligible blood donors and recruits them to donate regularly
  • Provides excellent customer service at all times; establishes rapport with donors and potential donors, and educates them on the organization’s programs and services
  • Enters donor information into the electronic database and utilizes various methods for appointment reminders
  • Complies with and maintains current knowledge and understanding of Donor Recruitment policies, procedures and other related regulations
  • Assists in stabilizing and maintaining blood donation inventory levels.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS:

None

 

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and comfortable speaking with donors on the phone
  • Ability to meet pre-defined monthly metrics related to outreach calls, appointments confirmed, booking accuracy, and show rates; eligible to earn a monthly incentive award based upon goal achievements
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English
  • Skill in operating office equipment
  • Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and database software navigation
