Banquet Setup Attendant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Banquet Attendant to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a positive event experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in the food industry, with skills in guest services, and banquet service knowledge. Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
• Facilitate the set up and breakdown of catering events, including, but not limited to corporate events and weddings, directing other staff as needed for help.
• Support banquet operations by setting up and breaking down event spaces, maintaining banquet equipment and supplies. Keeping inline with cleanliness and organizational practices.
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, fostering positive guest relations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain quality standards.
• Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food service or hospitality industry is preferred, including restaurant or hotel experience.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Culinary experience or banquet experience is a plus, enhancing your ability to support kitchen operations effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective guest interaction and collaboration with sales, catering and culinary teams.
• Experience with coffee preparation is beneficial but not required.
• This position is guaranteed 40 hours a week, and may at times work in other areas of the hotel if business requires.
