IMSolutions is seeking a Junior Procurement Specialist to support a future opportunity with a federal agency anticipated to begin in September 2026.聽

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote/Hybrid as authorized by the Government and Company聽as requested by the government.

Position Summary

The Junior Procurement Specialist will provide acquisition and procurement support to government contracting and program offices. This position will assist with market research, acquisition planning, source selection support, contract administration, proposal evaluations, and procurement documentation.

Working under the limited direction of a Team Lead or Project Manager, the Junior Procurement Specialist will support government acquisition professionals by conducting research, analyzing procurement information, coordinating source selection documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal procurement regulations and policies.

These functions include:

路聽Perform market research to support acquisition planning and procurement strategies.聽

路聽Assist Government personnel by suggesting and reviewing acquisition strategies and program management alternatives.聽

路聽Support source selection activities, including documentation coordination and proposal evaluation support.聽

路聽Assist with Past Performance Assessments and Proposal Pricing Reviews.聽

路聽Obtain and compile rate information, technical evaluations, and supporting documentation required for contractor proposal assessments.聽

路聽Enter and maintain contract data within government contract management systems.聽

路聽Provide administrative support for complex government contracts, including services, supplies, research and development, and major integrated projects.聽

路聽Support cost, schedule, and technical analysis of contractor performance.聽

路聽Research and interpret government directives, regulations, policies, and applicable statutes related to assigned acquisition activities.聽

路聽Compile information, conduct assessments, and prepare findings and recommendations.聽

路聽Participate in acquisition meetings, program reviews, and project discussions.聽

路聽Support stakeholder communications, outreach activities, and liaison responsibilities.聽

路聽Prepare draft acquisition documents, reports, memoranda, correspondence, presentations, and other written materials.聽

路聽Maintain procurement files and documentation in accordance with agency requirements.聽

路聽Assist in tracking contract actions, milestones, and deliverables.聽

路聽Collaborate with government personnel, contractors, and project stakeholders to support successful acquisition outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

路聽Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Acquisition Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.聽

路聽Three (3) to five (5) years of experience supporting procurement, acquisition, contracting, purchasing, or related government business operations.聽

路聽Experience supporting federal government acquisition or procurement activities preferred.聽

路聽Basic understanding of government contracting principles and procurement processes.聽

路聽Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.聽

路聽Excellent verbal and written communication skills.聽

路聽Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.聽

路聽Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines.

Required Skills:

路聽Knowledge of procurement and acquisition support processes.聽

路聽Ability to conduct market research and gather relevant acquisition data.聽

路聽Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.聽

路聽Ability to analyze contractor proposals and supporting documentation.聽

路聽Strong research, data collection, and information assessment capabilities.聽

路聽Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.聽

路聽Ability to prepare clear, concise, and professional written materials.聽

路聽Ability to support source selection, contract administration, and procurement documentation activities.

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency with:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft SharePoint

Desired Qualifications:

路聽Experience supporting procurement, acquisition, contracting, or purchasing functions.聽

路聽Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations, policies, and procedures preferred.聽

路聽Demonstrated ability to conduct research and prepare analytical reports and recommendations.聽

路聽Experience maintaining procurement records and contract documentation.聽

路聽Ability to communicate effectively with government personnel, contractors, and stakeholders.聽

路聽Ability to obtain and maintain any required government credentials or clearances as specified by the customer.
