IMSolutions is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to support a future opportunity with a federal agency anticipated to begin in September 2026.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote/Hybrid as authorized by the Government and Company聽as requested by the government.

Position Summary

The Senior Policy Analyst will provide expert analysis and recommendations on acquisition-related policy matters, leveraging extensive knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, agency-specific policies, and government operations.

This position is responsible for researching, analyzing, developing, and recommending policy solutions that support agency missions and strategic objectives. The Senior Policy Analyst will evaluate existing and proposed policies, conduct independent studies, develop policy products, and provide guidance on Congressional, Federal, Departmental, and Agency policy issues. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, research, and communication skills and the ability to translate complex policy issues into practical recommendations for government leadership and stakeholders.

These functions include:

路聽Apply subject matter expertise in federal acquisition regulations, agency policies, and applicable statutes to analyze policy issues and provide recommendations.聽

路聽Draft revisions to existing policies and develop recommendations for new policies, procedures, and guidance.聽

路聽Conduct research and analysis related to acquisition, procurement, and organizational policy issues.聽

路聽Organize research findings and develop recommendations to address policy challenges and operational requirements.聽

路聽Coordinate and participate in complex research initiatives and policy studies.聽

路聽Prepare policy briefs, memoranda, reports, white papers, issue papers, and executive summaries.聽

路聽Conduct independent policy studies and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of current policies and programs.聽

路聽Review, monitor, and evaluate policies to identify benefits, gaps, risks, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.聽

路聽Gather, analyze, integrate, and report qualitative and quantitative data to support policy decisions and recommendations.聽

路聽Research and evaluate Congressional, Federal, Agency, and Departmental policy initiatives and their potential impacts on organizational operations.聽

路聽Develop policy opinions, recommendations, and supporting documentation for leadership review and decision-making.聽

路聽Analyze legislative, regulatory, and policy developments affecting acquisition and government operations.聽

路聽Collaborate with leadership, program offices, acquisition personnel, legal advisors, and stakeholders on policy matters.聽

路聽Support policy implementation initiatives and provide guidance on policy interpretation and application.聽

路聽Develop presentations and briefing materials for executive leadership and program stakeholders.聽

路聽Facilitate meetings, working groups, and policy review sessions.聽

路聽Support audits, compliance reviews, and policy assessments.聽

路聽Maintain awareness of emerging trends, legislative changes, and best practices affecting government acquisition and policy management.聽

路聽Perform additional policy analysis and advisory services as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

路聽Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Business Administration, Government, Political Science, Acquisition Management, Economics, Law, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.聽

路聽Six (6) to eight (8) years of experience in policy analysis, acquisition policy, regulatory analysis, government operations, or a related field.聽

路聽Experience researching, analyzing, and evaluating federal policies, regulations, and guidance.聽

路聽Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and agency-specific acquisition policies.聽

路聽Experience preparing policy recommendations, reports, memoranda, and briefing materials.聽

路聽Strong analytical, research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.聽

路聽Excellent written and verbal communication skills.聽

路聽Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

路聽Working knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, policies, and government processes.聽
