IMSolutions is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to support a future opportunity with a federal agency anticipated to begin in September 2026.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote/Hybrid as authorized by the Government and Company聽as requested by the government.

Position Summary

The Senior Procurement Specialist will provide advanced acquisition and procurement expertise across one or more phases of the federal acquisition lifecycle. This position will support operational and consulting engagements involving procurement, source selection, acquisition management, business process improvement, policy development, financial analysis, training, project management, and acquisition systems implementation.

The Senior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and executing all phases of procurement projects while providing strategic guidance to government stakeholders. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, contracting principles, procurement strategies, and agency-specific missions and priorities. This position requires the ability to independently manage complex acquisition initiatives and provide expert recommendations that support mission-critical objectives.

These functions include:

路聽Lead and support operational and consulting engagements across the federal acquisition lifecycle.聽

路聽Plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute all phases of procurement and acquisition projects.聽

路聽Develop acquisition strategies and procurement approaches that align with agency requirements and mission objectives.聽

路聽Provide expertise in purchasing, procurement, source selection, and contract management activities.聽

路聽Advise government personnel on acquisition planning, procurement best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.聽

路聽Support and lead source selection activities, including evaluation planning, proposal reviews, and documentation management.聽

路聽Conduct acquisition research and analyses to support procurement decisions and strategic initiatives.聽

路聽Develop, review, and implement acquisition policies, procedures, and guidance.聽

路聽Perform financial analyses related to procurement activities, contract execution, and program performance.聽

路聽Support business process improvement initiatives designed to enhance acquisition effectiveness and efficiency.聽

路聽Analyze, evaluate, and assist with the implementation of acquisition and contract management systems.聽

路聽Provide expertise regarding applicable federal acquisition statutes, regulations, policies, and guidance.聽

路聽Support federal project and program management efforts related to acquisition and procurement functions.聽

路聽Develop and deliver acquisition-related training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.聽

路聽Prepare acquisition plans, procurement strategies, business case analyses, determinations and findings, and other acquisition documentation.聽

路聽Coordinate with program offices, contracting officers, legal counsel, financial personnel, and technical teams throughout the procurement process.聽

路聽Conduct market research and assess acquisition alternatives for complex procurement requirements.聽

路聽Review contractor proposals, cost information, and procurement documentation for completeness and compliance.聽

路聽Identify procurement risks and recommend mitigation strategies.聽

路聽Prepare executive briefings, reports, presentations, white papers, and recommendations for senior leadership.聽

路聽Facilitate meetings, program reviews, acquisition reviews, and stakeholder engagements.聽

路聽Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and acquisition team members.聽

路聽Develop innovative acquisition solutions that improve procurement performance, compliance, and mission outcomes.聽

路聽Support audit activities, compliance reviews, and acquisition assessments.聽

路聽Perform additional acquisition and procurement-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

路聽Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Acquisition Management, Contract Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.聽

路聽Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible experience in federal procurement, acquisition, contracting, or acquisition program management.聽

路聽Extensive experience supporting federal government procurement and acquisition programs.聽

路聽Demonstrated experience managing complex acquisition and procurement initiatives.聽

路聽Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, policies, and procurement best practices.聽

路聽Experience providing acquisition consulting, advisory, or strategic support services.聽

路聽Proven ability to independently manage multiple high-priority projects.聽

路聽Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.聽

路聽Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.

路聽Expert knowledge of federal acquisition and procurement processes.聽

路聽Strong acquisition planning and procurement strategy development capabilities.聽

路聽Advanced understanding of source selection methodologies and contract management principles.聽

路聽Ability to interpret and apply federal statutes, regulations, and agency policies.聽

路聽Expertise in business process improvement and acquisition operational excellence.聽

路聽Strong project management and organizational skills.聽

路聽Ability to analyze complex procurement, business, and financial information.聽

路聽Excellent leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.聽

路聽Ability to provide strategic recommendations to senior government officials.聽

路聽Strong facilitation, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.

Desired Qualifications:

路聽Demonstrated experience supporting federal acquisition, procurement, and contracting programs.聽

路聽Comprehensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific acquisition regulations.聽

路聽Experience leading acquisition planning, source selection, procurement strategy development, and contract administration efforts.聽

路聽Proven ability to manage complex procurement projects from planning through award and administration.聽

路聽Experience supporting organizational process improvements and acquisition transformation initiatives.聽

路聽Experience developing policies, procedures, training materials, and acquisition guidance.聽

路聽Ability to effectively communicate with senior government officials, contracting officers, program managers, and stakeholders.聽

路聽Ability to obtain and maintain any required government credentials or clearances as required by the customer.
