Description:

 Position Purpose:

The Engineering Office Coordinator coordinates the Preventive Maintenance Program, assists in formulation of Engineering/Security Operating Budgets and keeps track of the drawdown schedules.  Assigns work to and monitors the work output of the Engineering Secretary.  Responsible for computerizing all construction project budgets and monitoring their drawdown schedules

What you will do:

  • Responsible for all Engineering Office functions.

  • Assists in the development of Engineering operating budgets.

  • Develops and maintains employee department records on training of Hospital/Department wide mandatory topics.

  • Responsible for computerizing all construction project budgets and monitoring return of drawdown schedules.

  • Contributes to the philosophy of quality care and human dignity at the hospital

  • Contributes to the effective operation of the hospital by demonstrating dependability in job performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate.

  • 2 or more years experience in an Engineering/Construction office environment.

  • Must have knowledge and experience in the Preventive Maintenance Program.  Requires working knowledge of word processing and data base software, such as Microsoft Office.  Prefer familiarity with preventive maintenance program.

Working Conditions:

  • Good visual acuity to work at CRT screen.  Long periods of sitting.  Manual dexterity in performing typing requirements.  Good hearing acuity to perform telephone & walkie-talkie duties.  Bending, walking, stretching, moderate physical abilities in filing and in walking to various sites on campus.  Average office environment with normal equipment noise.  Exposure to hazardous items found in an Engineering Department setting.

  • General office setting, although, due to various projects undertaken by Engineering, the Engineering Office Coordinator may be outside in all weather conditions.
