Are you ready to take the next step in your technical career? At Emerson, we’re looking for a Quality Supervisor to lead all Quality functions, including Receiving, In-Process (Weld/NDE), and Final Inspection, documentation package preparation and uploads, supplier documentation review, and calibration activities. This role ensures compliance with company, customer, regulatory, and industry requirements while supporting the Quality Management System, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence ( PPM/RDSL/PDSL).

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and supervise 25+ Quality personnel across Receiving, In-Process (including Weld/NDE), and Final Inspection, QA documentation, supplier documentation review, and calibration activities. 
  • Monitor quality metrics and drive improvements in product quality, process effectiveness, and operational performance. 
  • Partner with the Quality Manager and cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements. 
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits, including implementation of corrective and preventive actions. 
  • Oversee the facility calibration program and maintain compliance with applicable standards and certifications. 
  •  Investigate customer complaints, internal nonconformances, and quality issues, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective actions. 
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop Quality personnel to enhance technical competency, engagement, accountability, and career growth. 
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. 
  • Support customer visits, source inspections, and quality-related communications as needed.
  • Special projects as assigned.

What You Bring

  • BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 5+ years of Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of valves, castings, machining/welding, assembly, testing, and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with ASME Codes, ANSI, ASTM, military specs, and welding/material standards.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PDF).
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and use inspection/measuring equipment.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 

     

Preferred Qualifications that set you apart:

  • 8+ years of experience in Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification , NDE certifications highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with ISO/PED standards and NDE methods (CWE/CWI preferred).
  • Experience with CMM/FARO systems.
