Residential Program Transportation Specialist 

Location: Needville and Stafford, TX 

Schedule: Full time, On site

Hourly Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 Per Hour

 

Are you a dependable driver who enjoys helping others stay connected to the people, places, and services that support their success?  Join a residential behavioral health program serving young adults ages 18–28 at OPI Houston. As a Driver, you'll provide safe, reliable transportation for participants and staff between residential locations, appointments, and program offices while also supporting the secure transport of medications and other program-related materials between sites. This role is ideal for someone with a clean driving record who enjoys making a meaningful impact through dependable service, professionalism, and positive interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport participants and staff between residential programs, medical appointments, community activities, and office locations in the Needville and Stafford area.
  • Transport medications, documentation, and other program-related materials between residential and office locations in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Assist participants with transportation - related needs, including appointment arrivals, transportation to activities, and community events.
  • Operate passenger vans and other company vehicles in accordance with all Texas traffic laws and company safety standards.
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and document mileage, maintenance concerns, and incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and treatment team members regarding schedules, transportation needs, and participant safety concerns.
  • Support a positive, respectful environment and use appropriate de-escalation techniques when situations require additional support.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Experience transporting passengers, clients, patients, or groups preferred.
  • Comfortable working with young adults ages 18–28 receiving behavioral health or residential treatment services.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and patient in a variety of situations.
  • Ability to pass background, driving record, and any required health screenings.
