Job Summary
The Residential Arborist is a hybrid role that seamlessly bridges the worlds of Sales and Project Lead. Serving as both the primary sales engine and operational steward for residential clients, you will guide homeowners through the entire lifecycle of tree care, from initial site consultation and accurate estimating to closing the sale, lining out field crews, ensuring project quality, and performing final client follow-ups. You are the person who turns a client's vision into a masterpiece of arboricultural work while driving sustainable revenue growth.

Core Responsibilities
Residential Sales & Pipeline Management
- Respond to sales leads within 24 hours to conduct thorough site consultations with homeowners.
- Proactively build and execute strategies to maintain a healthy pipeline of residential sales opportunities.
- Translate client needs into accurate, expert-led tree care solutions and compelling project estimates.
- Achieve and exceed established monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Maintain accurate account, billing, and project records in company systems.
Project Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Develop detailed job estimates that account for equipment needs, labor, site restrictions, and safety risks.
- Line out field foremen and crews on-site or at the shop, serving as the technical advisor during project execution.
- Oversee active residential projects to ensure all work adheres to ANSI and OSHA safety standards and meets "Urban Forester" quality benchmarks.
- Manage job execution to maintain project profitability and target margins.
Client Advocacy & Full Lifecycle Service
- Represent The Urban Foresters as a trusted advisor to homeowners from initial contact through project completion.
- Follow up with clients after work is completed to verify complete satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
- Maintain open communication channels with leadership regarding project status and client feedback.
Cultural Leadership & Professional Growth
- Embody company virtues of Charity, Fortitude, and Humility in every interaction with clients, crews, and management.
- Actively participate in key company meetings, including sales meetings, "Team Pulse," and "Wheel of Life" sessions.
- Engage in ongoing personal development, world-class Sandler Sales Training, and arboricultural coaching.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Sales Goal Attainment: Meeting or exceeding established sales targets while maintaining a healthy residential sales pipeline.
- Project Mastery & Safety: Managing jobs to hit target profitability, strict ANSI/OSHA compliance, and high-quality standards.
- Client Satisfaction & Response: Maintaining rapid lead response (<24 hours) and securing high client satisfaction scores post-completion.
- Personal & Cultural Growth: Active participation in development plans, Sandler training, and cultural meetings.

Qualifications and Skills
Mandatory Requirements (Must-Haves)
Must meet at least one of the following technical/education paths:
- Active ISA Certified Arborist credentials, OR
- A degree in Arboriculture (or closely related field) AND the willingness and ability to sit for the ISA Certified Arborist Exam, OR
- A minimum of 3+ years of direct experience in tree care AND the willingness and ability to sit for the ISA Certified Arborist Exam.
Additional Competencies & Requirements
- Linguistic Ability: Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred to effectively lead and communicate with field teams.
- Sales Capability: Proven ability in consultative selling; formal sales methodology training (e.g., Sandler) is preferred.
- Operational Discipline: Self-starter with exceptional time management, organizational skills, and digital tool proficiency.
- Licensing: Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
