Location: Stamford, CT
Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports the delivery of clinical care by providing treatment interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. In this role, you will help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function through guided therapeutic exercise, functional training, and clinic-approved modalities. You’ll play a key role in day-to-day patient experience, progress tracking, and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide treatment interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional movement training
  • Use manual techniques and modalities as directed (e.g., heat, ice, e-stim)
  • Monitor patient response and report progress/concerns to the PT
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs and proper form
  • Document visits accurately and on time per clinic standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized treatment environment
  • PTA degree from an accredited program
  • Connecticut PTA license in good standing
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Basic comfort with EMR/documentation systems
  • Strong patient communication and professionalism
  • 2 weeks PTO
