What you’ll do: Role Overview: The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of procurement and inventory across the organization. This position supports employees performing functions related to supply chain. Responsibilities: Serve as one of the primary support resources for employees performing supply chain-related functions, including procurement and inventory activities. Onboard new users, provide ongoing training, and respond to inquiries via the Supply Chain department inbox. Ensure adherence to organizational supply chain policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices. Maintain the inventory management system, including but not limited to item records, user lists, order approval workflows, and staying current on system updates. Monitor purchase order activity via order confirmations, daily rejection reports, and invoice discrepancies. Provide additional procurement support to onboard new vendors, source new products, and obtain competitive quotes as needed. Expedite orders, recommend appropriate product substitutes, and develop strategic solutions for long-term product shortages. Facilitate physical inventory counts at each facility and review inventory usages for accuracy and completeness. Assist with capital expenditure (CapEx) orders and related procurement activities as needed. Contribute to supply chain initiatives focused on cost savings, process improvement, and product conversions or standardization. QualificationsWho you are: Background & Qualifications: BS/BA or Associates Degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required. Three years working in a materials management capacity. Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with materials management functions of inventory, ordering/purchasing, receipt and stocking, accounts payable, review or usage report data and development of appropriate par levels. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for management and storage of materials in a healthcare environment. Must have experience with standard business software to include Microsoft Word and Excel, including basic Excel functions and pivot tables. Must possess excellent planning and written/oral communications skills. Must have excellent time management skills and demonstrate ability to prioritize and follow through on completion of operational assignments. Must be able to operate and instruct others in data entry, reports and information management. Must clearly communicate performance expectations and accountability.
