MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Daily testing the full range of all inter-related equipment prior to procedure to verify in good working order. Provides simple troubleshooting and makes adjustments to equipment.
  2. Identifies each patient, reviews each patient’s requisition, either hard copy or in computer system, for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis and all demographic information.
  3. Performs all aspects of Nuclear Medicine imaging in order to provide high quality studies for review by physician.

  4. Coordinates nuclear medicine images to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care and assists with the management of the workflow of the department to ensure the completion of work assignments in the absence of the nuclear medicine supervisor. 
  5. Contributes to the efficient operations of the department.
  6. Provides proper notification for absence or tardiness.
  7.  Monitors inventory of supplies and notifies appropriate supervisor when stock is low.
  8. Participates in instruction of students, and in-service education for staff members.
