Base Rate:Â $17.16/hour
Weekend Rate:Â $18.16/hour
Job Overview
Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate of Apis Services, is currently seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at our group home in Byram, NJ, supporting adults with disabilities.
As a DSP, you will play a vital role in helping individuals live safe, meaningful, and independent lives in a residential setting.

Responsibilities
Direct Support Professionals provide hands-on care, supervision, mentoring, and guidance to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting individuals with:
Daily living skills (cooking, housekeeping, hygiene)
Health and wellness (personal medical care, healthy living)
Community participation (shopping, recreation, outings)
Social and emotional development (coping skills, communication, friendships)
Budgeting and money management
Promoting independence, dignity, and autonomy
Your work will make a meaningful difference by helping individuals gain confidence and life skills.
Qualifications
Must be 20Â years or older
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Ability to successfully complete:
State and Federal criminal background checks
Drug screening
Pre-employment physical and PPD
Willingness to complete all required orientation and pre-service training
