SECURITY SHIFT MGR

We are looking for an experienced Security Shift Manager to join our Security team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members. The Security Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing security operations on an assigned shift, supervising security personnel, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership skills, excellent judgment, and a commitment to outstanding guest service.

This position will report directly to the Director of Security and will be responsible for:

• Recommending, documenting, and issuing disciplinary actions as needed.
• Conducting interviews for prospective security team members.
• Assigning personnel and ensuring adequate staffing coverage based on operational needs.
• Assisting with the proper assignment and tracking of keys through the KeyWatcher system to authorized personnel.
• Assisting with badge processing and administration through the WinPak badging system.
• Performing all security functions on a shift basis and maintaining department personnel records, paperwork, and files.
• Training, supervising, scheduling, and evaluating security shift team members.
• Supervising and conducting investigations as required and ensuring proper documentation.
• Reviewing and approving reports submitted by uniformed security officers and investigative personnel.
• Operating safety and fire response equipment during emergency situations in conjunction with Fire Command procedures.
• Promoting outstanding customer relations and delivering exceptional guest service.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate for this role will possess the following:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• NYS Eight-Hour Pre-Assignment Course certification required.
• New York State Security Guard License required.
• Sixteen (16) hour On-the-Job Training Course completion or waiver from the NYS Division of Licensing required.
• Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• A minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, security, or security management experience required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6-8+ hours per shift.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
