We are looking for an experienced Security Shift Supervisor to join our Security team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members. The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Security Officers during their assigned shift, ensuring compliance with all Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations, responding to incidents, and supporting the overall safety and security of the property. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and is dedicated to delivering exceptional guest service.
This position will report directly to the Security Shift Manager and will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the performance of Security Officers while on shift.
- Ensuring the property's adherence to Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations, company policies, and established security procedures.
- Responding to incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns while preparing accurate and timely reports.
- Assisting with the assignment, control, and accountability of keys and access devices.
- Training, coaching, and developing Security Officer team members.
- Ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, company assets, and property.
- Participating in investigations involving incidents, guest concerns, policy violations, and other security matters.
- Preparing accurate and thorough documentation of all incidents and interactions involving the Security Department.
- Coordinating with the Surveillance Department to identify and prevent theft, fraud, cheating, and other suspicious activities.
- Utilizing security technologies including CCTV systems, access control systems, alarms, communication devices, and fire alarm and suppression systems.
- Maintaining a visible and consistent presence on the gaming floor and throughout the property.
- Ensuring all guest exclusions, banned patron information, and security updates are communicated effectively to Security Officers.
- Promoting positive guest interactions and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Supporting mandatory staffing requirements and assisting with operational coverage needs as required.
- Remaining available to work any shift, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays based on business demands.
- Performing all other duties and special projects as assigned.
The successful candidate for this role will possess the following:
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or a high-volume casino environment.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensure through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
- Ability to develop and maintain knowledge of the property's Responsible Gambling Program.
- Thorough understanding of applicable Federal and State laws and Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations, or the ability to learn and maintain such knowledge.
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6-8+ hours per shift.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, mandatory staffing assignments, and all shifts as required.
