Trinity Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Chemical Cleaning Rack. 

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, coordinating the day-to-day operations, and ensuring the production targets are met efficiently while maintaining Quality and Safety standards. Responsible for leading direct labor staff according to Trinity Core Values. 

What you'll do: 

  • Accomplishes staff job results by; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing & enforcing systems, policies, and procedures

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the group in a maintenance production environment

  • Completes operations by developing schedules; assigning and monitoring work; gathering resources; implementing productivity standards; resolving operations problems; maintaining reference manuals; and implementing new procedures

  • Collaborating with all site value streams to accomplish department and plant objectives

  • Sets production goals for direct labor performance and meet deadlines in ways that comply with the company’s directives

  • Organizes workflow and ensures employees understands and are trained to their duties or delegated tasks

  • Reviews and approves work hours of direct reports on a daily or weekly basis. Ensures attendance notices are maintained according to attendance policy. May input data in KRONOS, TRACS, RailRX, and EXCEL

  • Monitors employee productivity and provides constructive feedback, coaching, and hold difficult conversations, and disciplinary actions where necessary

 



 

What you'll need:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working as a lead or supervisory position in a maintenance or production manufacturing environment preferred. Rail experience and/or chemical cleaning process experience is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or similar field desired, but not required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to effectively plan work procedures, equipment, material, and manpower needs

  • Will need to be flexible to work Day and Night shift
