Job DetailsJob Location: Jonesboro, AR 72404 POSITION PURPOSE Implement Production Planning best practices in a manufacturing environment that will meet and exceed established goals for Service, Inventory, Cost, Capacity, and Speed to Market. Supervise and support Buyer/Planners in achieving respective objectives. These objectives include goals for finished goods and raw material inventory, service levels, maximizing production line efficiencies and minimizing inventory write offs. Manage sales and operations planning for the site: planning, scheduling, component purchasing, and product transition processes to ensure continuous, uninterrupted supply of product. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Develop detailed production plans for the plant that minimize both finished good & raw material liability while providing exceptional customer service levels and balancing cost effectiveness of each production line. Develop and implement programs to create, validate, and maintain system data necessary to fully utilize the MPS/MRP capabilities of BPCS and future software implementations. Oversee new product introductions by providing critical path timelines and successfully meeting production launch dates. Oversee the planning and buying of raw materials required to support the production plans. Effectively manage inventory to support Customer Service goals while also achieving working capital levels for a profitable business. Successfully manage product transitions to mitigate write offs of excess inventory. Awareness of total, and available, capacity by production line as well as the capabilities of each line. Maximize all available tools (ERP, Excel, Access, etc.) to drive successful Planning & Scheduling processes. Participate in monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP, also known as S&OP) meetings. Proactively communicate significant changes in production plan to appropriate functions. Ensure scheduling of plant strikes the balance between changeovers and improving efficiencies. Create positive, team focused working relationships with all other functional areas. Establish and execute employee training and development plans. Work with Procurement and Quality on managing supplier performance expectations. #LI-DC1 Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Include minimum qualifications for formal training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or working experience. Identify the level of knowledge; skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required to perform the essential job responsibilities and duties competently. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: BA/BS in Supply Chain or related field; or equivalent experience. APICS Certification a plus. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: BPCS experience preferred Lean or 6 sigma certifications desirable Strong Analytical Skills EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5 years in Planning/Materials Management Excellent Project Management skills Experience in demand planning and production scheduling Excellent Communication Skills Working in an FDA regulated environment preferred Planning, purchasing, and operations experience required SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work in a team environment Excellent with multi-tasking, follow-up and execution of assignments Possesses good time management and prioritization skills Demonstrates a strong drive for results and high-quality standards Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
