Your role on our team:

The Service Technician repairs machines to the customer’s satisfaction in the field, shop, or customer location. Removes, installs, repairs, disassembles, assembles, performs failure analyses of all CLAAS, and other lines, of assigned equipment including engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, power train, brakes, steering, electronic and computer applications, heating and air conditioning (HVAC).

 

•    Troubleshoots and repairs customer machines in the shop or customer jobsites.
•    Uses SIS to order parts, troubleshoot machine systems and research problems.
•    Conducts machinery inspections 
•    Machinery set-up and adjustments
•    Using laptop, enters labor data, completes service and warranty reports.
•    Utilizes current service manuals and parts books to look up specs and parts for repairs.


Note: This position may include frequent travel by auto; a valid driver’s license with an annual verifiably safe driving history is required. May require overnight travel and weekend or evening work.

Your profile:

•    Diesel Technology Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
•    2+ years’ experience in an agriculture or diesel service technician role, preferred.
•    Prior experience in troubleshooting methods and tools required.
•    Must provide personal tools for position.
•    Working knowledge of CLAAS parts, a plus.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    Excellent customer service skills.
•    Proven ability to read and interpret parts and machine schematics.
•    Ability to travel within assigned territory and to be able to work with limited supervision.
•    Must be self-sufficient with a proven ability to work independently and a strong willingness to learn.
•    Must be able to maintain professionalism at all times.
•    Farm background is highly desirable, not required.
•    Ability to safely operate large machinery.
•    Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.
