The聽Career Equipment Technician聽position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who doesn鈥檛 stray away from a challenge.

What you鈥檒l do:

  • Performs preventative maintenance聽and electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery and components.

  • Determines causes of operating problems, consults schematics and orders replacement parts. Performs high voltage electrical repairs (e.g. controls, relays).聽

  • Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using electrical and electronic test equipment.聽

  • Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies production electronic components, parts, switch panels etc.聽

  • May test new equipment, troubleshoots operation, and makes minor adjustments to equipment.

  • Maintains and completes all required records.聽

  • Follows all safety rules and practices.聽

  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

What you鈥檒l need:

聽聽聽聽聽聽 High school diploma or a GED equivalent

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Minimum of 1 year of related experience

聽聽聽聽聽聽 The ability to read blueprints

聽聽聽聽聽聽 May require working above ground (15 ft. or more)

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects; comfortable with heights.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 May require working in narrow or confined work spaces for extended periods of time

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Tasks may require physical strength and dexterity

  • Basic troubleshooting / 3 Phase / equipment up to 600v

聽聽聽聽聽聽 May require extensive kneeling, bending and standing for long periods of time

  • Candidates must be available and able to work Day or Night Shift schedule
