Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to setup and run CNC rotary tube bending machines such as Soco, Eagle or Addison with limited supervision.
- Set-up and operate CNC rotary draw bending machine while conforming to manufacturing tolerances
- Set-up and switch tooling of CNC rotary draw bending machine (Bend Di, Clamp Di, Wiper Di, Pressure Di, Mandrel, Collette, Stop Blocks)
- Program new post bends into CNC bending machine
- Ensure all tube assemblies meet strict quality and compliance standards
- Checking drawings to work orders to ensure correct quantity of posts are bent and put out for job
- Can work effectively with cross-functional departments as need
- Conduct quality inspections using appropriate quality measurement tools (calipers, taps, angles)
- Maintenance of tooling and equipment
Requirements
- Ability to work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience tube bending parts
- Strong understanding of basic math including decimals, fractions and metric system
- Proficient in English to communicate with fellow employees and follow work instructions
- Ability to use the required hand tools, power tools, and cutting machines in the assembly process
- Can effectively use measuring instruments such as a tape measure
- Detail oriented with large emphasis on accuracy
- Ability to work in high pressure situations under deadlines
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with Stainless Steel Tubes (thin-walled and thick-walled tubing)
- Well versed in manufacturing of complex tube assemblies
- Experience with 3D tube bends
- Certified Production Technician (NCMIT graduate) preferred
