Description

Performs diagnostic abdominal, vascular, small parts and pelvic sonography on neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. 


Shift: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Requirements


  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (in Ultrasound) or ARDMS or registry eligible.
  • If registry eligible, must be a graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Ultrasound or AMA Accredited School of Ultrasound and must be registered within one year of hire date. Registry must be current and updated before the expiration date.
  • BLS certification through The American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Ultrasound experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively deal with patients, families, staff and physicians.
  • Excellent computer, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise skills in the area of initiative, problem solving, decision-making and multi-tasking. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
  • Knowledge of organization policies, regulations and common safety hazard precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • The individual must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to serve, without prejudice or judgement, clients with differing lifestyles, race, economic status, age, or religious affiliation.
