Urgent Care Clinics
APP position primarily seeing patients six months and older with immediate health care needs aligned with Atrium Health’s Mission and upholding the mission for our Advanced Urgent Care clinics.
What you'll do:
In this role, you will provide expert care independently through appropriate medical practice, appropriate diagnostic testing, advanced procedural skills, and optimal use of emergency resources and community partners when appropriate.
This role is supported by a 100% Advanced Practice Provider staffing model, offering a collaborative and APP-focused environment. Our Urgent Care APPs will learn to manage acute and chronic conditions with increasing independent expertise and are encouraged to practice at the top of their license. See all patients except infants.
You’ll have excellent access to ED attendings and the Medical Director, Iredell Urgent Care Statesville by phone or email, ensuring you feel connected, supported, and never far from guidance when needed. - At least 1 year of Emergency Department experience or 2 years of community urgent care experience in a full-time capacity preferred.
- Comfortable with standard urgent care procedures and examination skills including but not exclusive to eye examinations, pelvic examinations, neurologic examinations, EKG interpretations, suturing, I&D, simple splinting.
- Familiarity with acute care evaluations, assessment tools, and diagnostic scoring tools preferred.

What we offer:
- Annual CME allowance of $3,000.00 and 50 hours paid time.

Schedule:
- Minimum 130 hours per month
- Variable shifts lengths and times
- 3-4 weekend shifts per month
May Rotate to Locations:
Iredell Memorial Hospital ED – Open 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, 7 days a week. Statesville Urgent Care –Open 7:00am-7:00pm, 7 days a week. Mooresville Urgent Care – Open 24/7 days a week. Night shift incentive is $90 per shift. Northern Iredell County Urgent Care - Open 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, 7 days a week.
Staff:Â Urgent Cares are 100% APP staffed
Licensure: Must hold an active NC PA or NP license. Nurse Practitioners must be FNP-certified to support pediatric patient care. BLS and ACLS certifications are required prior to start.
Training: Training is tailored to experience level.
