Welder

Description

• Reads blueprints/ drawings
• Takes/ reads measurements
• Operates machinery such as grinders, band saws, etc.
• Loads metals parts/ tubing into fixtures
• Aligns parts using calipers, rulers, clamps, etc.
• Ensures proper fitment of parts
• Tack welds parts together
• MIG & TIG welds parts under supervision of more experienced welders
• Stages jobs for Welder II’s and III’s
• Assists Welder’s II & III’s as needed
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2-3 years on the job (MIG & TIG) welding experience
• Experience using saws, welder machines, tools, etc.
• Knowledge of PPE (face shields, welder helmets, gloves, steel toes, curtains, etc)
• Must have a commitment to excellent quality standards.
• Must have a commitment to Safety.
• Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
• Must possess a helpful, friendly & positive attitude.
• High School diploma/ GED required
• Experience welding stainless steel a plus
• Welding Certification Program (AWS) a plus

Other Details:

• Periodic lifting (up to 50lbs.)
• Sustained periods of standing
