The Shipping Associate position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer 
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead
  • Required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company vehicle
  • Accurately and efficiently process, package, and ship orders
  • Appropriately receive, unload and place incoming inventory items. Examines, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. 
  • Organize the warehouse and maintain a safe and productive environment
  • Check, verify and fill customer invoices to ensure accuracy 
  • Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper department or areas
  • Transport finished goods and raw materials 
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of products 
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
  • Ensure work is done safely, consistently and meets quality standards
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Communicate with other departments as necessary
  • Keep work areas clean and organized 
  • Adhere to all company rules and policies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
