Job DetailsJob Location: Sweet Briar College - Sweet Briar, VA 24595Position Type: FacultyEducation Level: Terminal degree (Master, Ph.D.) Travel Percentage: NegligibleJob Shift: DayJob Category: Education Sweet Briar College is seeking an adjunct instructor either to teach both CHEM 321: Biochemistry Lecture and CHEM 323: Biochemistry Lab, or only CHEM 323: Biochemistry Lab.  The semester begins the week of August 24, and the lecture meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10:40am-11:35am, and the lab meets Tuesday afternoons 1:10pm to 4pm.  If teaching the lab only, the adjunct will collaborate with a Sweet Briar College faculty member who will be teaching the lecture. Qualifications Required Qualifications A graduate degree in chemistry or a closely-related field, with graduate-level coursework in biochemistry; preference will be given to those with a Ph.D. or who are ABD. Demonstrated teaching experience Excellent communication skills.
