This is a seasonal position. Hours are variable up to 40 per week depending on department need.

The City of Steamboat Springs is pleased to announce a job opening in our Parks & Recreation Department as a Seasonal Golf Shop Assistant.

Pay Range: $20.85 - 25.34

Summary:

Serves as an ambassador of the City of Steamboat Springs and upholds City values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity, Well-being, Respect and Compassion, while always espousing safety.

Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills are key attributes to this position.  Individual will be working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of responsibilities including work with point of sale and reservation systems.  Retail or golf background is strongly preferred, but not required.    

Major Responsibilities:

Assist guests with check in process, booking tee times, and any retail questions.  Assist in receiving stock merchandise using Club Prophet POS system. Assist in monthly inventories along with assistance from professional staff. Have a working knowledge of golf operations rules and procedures (i.e. tee times, pace of play, etc). Assist Head Golf Professional with miscellaneous tasks on a daily basis.  Assist in the day-to-day operations of running the golf shop.  May be asked to assist with junior golf clinics from time to time

We are seeking the following qualifications:

            High School diploma or GED preferred

            PGA certification is a plus, not required

            Must be a highly organized individual

            Experience in the golf industry preferred

            This is a seasonal position 30-40hrs/week.
