Job Summary

Hamilton Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting.

In this role, you will assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, and care coordination while working closely with a team of providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare for clinic operations, including reviewing schedules and participating in team huddles

  • Perform patient intake (vital signs, medical history, chief complaints)

  • Document patient information accurately in the EMR system

  • Assist providers with exams and clinical procedures

  • Support care coordination by obtaining records from ER visits, hospitalizations, and specialists

  • Monitor and communicate lab and diagnostic results

  • Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock medical supplies

  • Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols

  • Support patient education and connect patients to additional services

  • Assist with clinic workflow, scheduling adjustments, and team support as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

  • Certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) or ability to obtain within 6 months

  • CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months

Preferred

  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical or physician office setting

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

  • Familiarity with patient-centered care models
