Position Overview 

 

RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Course Lead in Stennis, Mississippi. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities 

 

  • Assist with development, instructional support, and training analysis for operational and logistical requirements
  • Assist with the management of assigned courses
  • Assist with training analysis, instructional support, and utilize skills in the methodology of curriculum and test question development, effective classroom instructional techniques, employment of training aids, student progress measurement strategies and course management.
  • Assist with coordinating courses to support end of course exercises.
  • Assist in revising, developing, and implementing long range plans to anticipate and incorporate new procedures and technological developments into the respective curriculums.
  • Assist with evaluating training aids and providing recommendations to determine need for upgrades or changes.
  • Be able to provide instruction and information regarding the inspection, preventative maintenance, modification, technological developments, and operation of vessels.
  • Assist and support instructor certification program and in coordinating the evaluation program.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Six (6) years’ leadership and instructor experience in a formal training environment with no degree, or four (4) years’ leadership and instructor experience in a formal training environment with a degree or certificate in either Education or Instructional Development.
  • Four (4) years’ experience as a Navy Enlisted Qualification (NEC 805A) Instructor
  • US Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS) certification or another agency equivalent
  • Six (6) years’ experience in course curriculum management
  • Five (5) years’ experience in oral communication principles, methods and techniques.
  • Shall be fluent in English. Ability to also speak fluently in Spanish and/or French is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of military leadership and training experience in providing and planning instruction aimed at an international military audience.
  • Five (5) years’ collective experience working with/implementing in their respective courses: OPNAVINST 5100.19 Series, Safety Precautions for Forces Afloat; OPNAVINST 3500.39 Series, Operational Risk Management; OPNAVINST 5530.13C Arms, Ammunition and Explosives Physical Security.
  • Shall be able to complete the Personnel Qualification Standard (PQS), mental, medical, and financial screening, along with the Commanding Officer concurrence in writing within six months on employment, as a “High Risk Instructor” per guidelines set forth in OPNAVINST 1500.75 Series, Policies and Procedures for Conducting High-Risk Training.
  • Shall be able to maintain Level I Fitness Standard.
  • Be able to work non-standard schedules.
