The Launch Manager at Sterling Heights Assembly Plant is responsible for leading all plant launch activities to ensure successful program execution using Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) principles and the Workplace Integration Process (WIP). This role provides end-to-end ownership of launch readiness by aligning Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering functions to deliver programs safely, on time, and within budget.Â
The Launch Manager serves as the central integrator across the plant, driving execution, resolving issues, and leading both salaried and represented teams through high-pressure launch conditions.Â
Key Responsibilities:Â
- Lead all launch activities for Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, ensuring plant readiness for SOPÂ
- Drive execution using SIS standards and WIP cross-functional alignmentÂ
- Deliver program milestones on time and within budgetÂ
- Coordinate Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to achieve launch targetsÂ
- Lead launch war rooms and drive closure of critical issues and risksÂ
- Ensure process validation, quality readiness, and workforce preparednessÂ
- Communicate launch status, risks, and recovery plans to plant and executive leadershipÂ
- Provide leadership, direction, and accountability across all levels of the organizationÂ
- Coach and develop team members while fostering a high-performance, results-driven cultureÂ
- Build strong working relationships with plant leadership, workforce, and key stakeholdersÂ
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degreeÂ
- Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environmentÂ
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experienceÂ
- Background in Quality and Engineering ManagementÂ
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, and automationÂ
- Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skillsÂ
- Strong written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Ability to interface effectively from hourly represented employees to senior leadershipÂ
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilityÂ
- Experience with continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing (SPW)Â
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Â
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop teamsÂ
- Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levelsÂ
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to lead under pressureÂ
- Willingness to work off-shift hours and overtime as required Â
Preferred Qualifications :
