We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Project Manager with 2–4 years of experience to support commercial mechanical projects across the region.

Position Summary

The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee planning, coordination, and execution of commercial mechanical projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to Conti’s high standards of quality. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical construction experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day‑to‑day operations of commercial mechanical projects, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, and related scopes
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities
  • Oversee material procurement, equipment delivery, and jobsite logistics
  • Ensure adherence to Conti LLC safety standards, quality expectations, and project milestones
  • Conduct jobsite walks to monitor progress, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, project stakeholders, inspectors, and field leadership
  • Prepare project documentation, change orders, weekly reports, and close‑out packages
  • Assist senior project managers with larger project portfolios as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in mechanical construction project management
  • Experience with commercial HVAC, piping, plumbing, or mechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, and field coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to project sites within Southeast Michigan

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Experience with project management or construction software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project)
  • Field experience in mechanical trades or previous project engineering background
