Position Overview
 
Optalis of Sterling Heights is seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Development Coordinator to join our team in Sterling Heights MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing professional development programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs tailored to staff needs and organizational goals.
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate and schedule workshops, seminars, and other educational activities.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify skill gaps and develop targeted development plans.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary.
  • Maintain training records and prepare reports on staff development activities.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in staff development and adult learning.
  • Support onboarding and orientation processes for new employees.
Qualifications
 
  • Proven experience in staff development, training, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and training software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
