Position Summary

Menk USA is seeking a motivated and dependable Welder to join our manufacturing team on 2nd Shift. In this role, you will perform MIG and TIG welding on transformer components while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.

  • Operate oxy-fuel/torch cutting equipment to cut, repair, and modify materials.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and production documentation.

  • Inspect finished weldments using precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.

  • Repair defective welds and replace components as needed.

  • Maintain quality standards while meeting production schedules.

  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of MIG and TIG welding processes.

  • Experience using oxy-fuel/torch cutting equipment.

  • Ability to accurately perform dimensional measurements.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Experience

  • One to two years of manufacturing and/or welding experience preferred.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Additional Requirements

  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

  • Must complete all required training and demonstrate competency as defined by the Company's Training Matrix.

  • Competencies will be evaluated through the Company's performance management process.
