Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care Excellence: Perform professional dental cleanings (scaling and polishing), periodontal assessments, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications.

  • Patient Education & Comfort: Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment care; ensure patients are comfortable and understand the procedures.

  • X-Ray & Screening: Take digital X-rays, assess patient health, and collaborate with the dentist on treatment planning.

  • Treatment & Scheduling Support: Assist with the preparation and execution of treatment plans, guide patients through follow-up appointments, and help with scheduling.

  • Workflow & Organization: Ensure treatment rooms are well-prepared, sanitized, and stocked with necessary tools; maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system (PMS).

  • Compliance & Safety: Uphold infection control protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA/CDC standards.

  • Growth Mindset: Be open to learning new techniques, receive constructive feedback, and collaborate with the team to improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Current dental hygiene certification (preferably U.S.-based).

  • Strong experience in performing cleanings, scaling, and patient education.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and help guide them toward completing treatment.

  • Familiarity with digital X-rays, dental software, sterilization protocols, and charting.

  • Organized, punctual, and efficientable to manage time effectively while delivering great patient care.
