Job Description:

Allison Off-Highway and Motion Systems is seeking to fill the position of Quality Technician in Sterling, Illinois.

Responsibilities:
 

• Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of product
• Conduct in process audits
• Address all internal quality issues, quality awareness training
• Handle document control programs in Compliant Pro Database
• Conduct receiving inspections
• Recommend modifications of quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality
• Interpret engineering drawings and Specs
• Maintain calibration system.
• Work with suppliers on quality related topics

Job Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of gage usage
• Good communication skills and ability to work with all departments
• Computer literate
• Basic understanding of Quality principles
• Familiar with quality principles of ISO/QS 9000 systems
• Ability to work overtime as needed
