Job Summary:

The Office of Field Experiences is seeking a student office assistant to support students within and outside of the School of Education in obtaining field experiences and practicum placements.

Specific Duties: 

  • Greet and assist students in signing up for practicum, scheduling appointments, etc.  

  • Accurately file information  

  • Data entry  

  • Precisely scan or copy documents  

  • Run errands across campus  

  • Other assignments as needed – may include lifting boxes  

  • Assist in organizing small meetings and large scale events (e.g. Practicum Fair; Education Job Fair) 

  • Participate in departmental initiatives, events, and activities as requested 

 

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements: 

  • Pleasant personality that works well under pressure in a busy environment  

  • Eager to learn  

  • Must have good communication skills (dependable and personable)  

  • Able to produce quality and quantity work assignments  

  • Complete job tasks with attention to detail  

  • Appropriately handle confidential material  

  • Requires knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft Office products, including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

Compensation: $12.00 per hour 

On-the-job training provided.  

 

Time Commitment: 

  • The position requires the ability to work approximately 7-10 hours per week during the fall and spring semester. Winterim hours may also be available but are not guaranteed. 

  • Preferred: Applicant who can commit to working for OFE for more than one semester. Actual hiring will be dependent on applicant pool. 

  • Position starts Spring Semester 2025. Specific schedule to be determined by class schedules and a shared office space; office is open 8:30-4:30 M-F
