Position Overview
Â
The Production Relief Operator supports various stages of food manufacturing, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency. This role is essential to maintaining smooth operations across production lines, packaging, and inventory. You’ll work collaboratively with a small, close-knit team and contribute to a safe, high-quality food production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Â
- Production Line Operations: Operate, monitor, and maintain food processing and packaging equipment
- Quality Assurance: Inspect raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Safety & Sanitation: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and sanitation procedures; promptly report any safety concerns
- Packaging & Labeling: Accurately package and label products for distribution or storage
- Inventory Support: Assist with inventory tracking and documentation of materials and finished products
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- Process Improvement: Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Qualifications
Â
Experience
- Previous experience in food manufacturing is preferred but not required — training will be provided
Skills
- Basic math and reading comprehension
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and recipes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team-oriented mindset
Physical Requirements
Â
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
Â
- Food manufacturing facility with variable temperatures and noise levels
- Required protective gear includes uniforms, hair nets, and safety footwear (provided by employer)

- Flexibility to perform additional tasks as needed
- No weekend shifts required
