The Maintenance Engineer operates, repairs, and maintains the physical plant as well as other hospital equipment/systems in a safe cost effective and industry accepted manner. Also, this position ensures a safe and reliable environment in which to provide medical services.

 

Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE; Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10:00pm; On-call Mon-Fri 10pm-6am every 4th week

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent

 

QUALIFYING LICENSURE UPON HIRE, NO CONTINGENCIES

 Must have any ONE of the following at HIRE:

Chief A

Chief B

1st Class A

1st Class B

2nd Class A

2nd Class B

IF ABOVE LICENSURE(S) NOT PRESENT AT HIRE

Chief C upon hire 

1st Class C upon hire 

2nd Class C upon hire 

Special Engineers license 

Must obtain completion within 18 months of hire date:

2nd Class B license

 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of employee residence and meet all criteria required under Lakeview’s Automobile Liability Guidelines
  • Basic computer and email skills
  • Good customer service, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude skills, and able to change or reprioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet our patients/building needs

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical school training in plant operations/building maintenance and/or HVAC
  • 1-year experience in the operation of H.V.A.C., refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems, preferably in a health care setting
