As a Teller I, you will serve on the front lines of the bank, assisting customers with a variety of financial products and services while ensuring accurate and efficient transaction processing. This role requires strong attention to detail, operational knowledge, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. You will promote bank products and services through referrals and cross-selling, while contributing to a positive team environment and supporting branch operations.

What You'll Do
Teller Operations & Transactions
- Process routine customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing
- Balance and reconcile cash daily to ensure accuracy of all transactions
- Verify customer identity and follow all fraud prevention and security procedures
- Identify proper endorsements, payees, and signature requirements
- Determine when holds are necessary and apply according to policy
Customer Service & Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
- Greet customers in-person and at the drive-thru, creating a welcoming environment
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, assist with inquiries, and resolve account-related issues
- Respond promptly to customer needs and ensure a positive experience
- Exceed customer expectations by going the extra mile
- Collect and act on feedback to improve service quality
Sales & Relationship Building
- Identify customer needs and refer opportunities to Market Manager, Personal Banker, or Head Teller
- Cross-sell and promote appropriate bank products and services
- Maintain strong product knowledge to provide accurate information and solutions
- Build and retain customer relationships through consistent, high-quality service
Branch Support & Operations
- Assist with account maintenance tasks such as ordering checks and debit cards
- Enter and maintain data in Retail logs and systems
- Support digital banking inquiries and technical assistance
- Assist with scanning, indexing, and uploading documents
- Utilize SharePoint and internal systems for policies and procedures
Compliance, Security & Risk Awareness
- Stay current on banking regulations, procedures, and security protocols
- Recognize fraud risks such as scams, phishing, and suspicious activity
- Ensure compliance with all operational and regulatory requirements
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support branch goals
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
- High level of professionalism and integrity
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to navigate multiple systems and platforms
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months of banking experience
- Cash handling experience
- Customer service experience
