Dental Surgery Scheduling Coordinator

Location: Eagle's Landing Periodontics - Stockbridge, Georgia
Compensation: $20–$26 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday – Friday 7:30 am till 5:00 pm)
Benefits Eligibility: Employees regularly scheduled to work full time will be eligible for benefits.

About the Role

United Dental Corporation is seeking a Dental Surgery Scheduling Coordinator to join our team in Stockbridge, Georgia.

This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of surgical scheduling and ensuring a seamless patient experience from consultation through post-operative care. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty environment.

This position serves as a key liaison between patients, providers, and clinical staff while supporting efficient schedule management and treatment acceptance.

What Your Day Looks Like

  • Coordinating surgical consultations, treatment appointments, and follow-up care
  • Managing provider schedules to maximize efficiency and patient access
  • Communicating with patients regarding treatment plans and appointment preparation
  • Collaborating with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and front office team members
  • Verifying insurance benefits and obtaining required authorizations
  • Supporting patient case acceptance and scheduling completion
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and appointment documentation
  • Delivering exceptional customer service throughout the patient journey

What You'll Do

  • Review and manage provider schedules to optimize operatory utilization and patient flow
  • Coordinate all aspects of dental surgery scheduling, including consultations, pre-operative, surgical, and post-operative appointments
  • Communicate pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients
  • Monitor schedules to minimize cancellations, downtime, and scheduling conflicts
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for treatment
  • Maintain accurate patient information within practice management systems
  • Respond to patient inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient office operations
  • Follow established office protocols and compliance requirements
  • Experience in a periodontal, oral surgery, implant, or specialty dental practice
  • Experience coordinating surgical procedures
  • Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements
  • Experience obtaining insurance authorizations
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and specialty procedures
