The Service Sales Representative will be responsible for increasing aftermarket parts and service business within their assigned territory. Reporting to the Branch, Manager, this role will promote the company service and parts departments to increase sales in PM agreements, equipment repairs rental equipment, fuel tank remediation and generally promote Energy Systems as the primary source for aftermarket parts and service of power generation equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Ā Ā
Four-yearcollege degree or equivalent industrial sales experience is required.Ā
1 year cold call via phone and in personĀ
1 year customer facing sales role that includes negotiation, presentation, and conflict resolutionĀ
Ā
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Ā Ā
5+ yearscollege degree or equivalent industrial sales experience is required.Ā
Knowledge in remote monitoring solutions and connectivity or similarĀ
Knowledge of load banking, NFPA 110 requirements, and fuel polishingĀ
Utilization of a CRM tool, pulling reports, and analyzing dataĀ

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop sales proposals of generator products for customers and professionally present proposals to plant engineers, maintenance personnel, purchasing agents, and/or company executivesĀ
Develop Aftermarket program proposals for the generator service department for customers and professionally present proposals to plant engineers, maintenance personnel, purchasing agents, and/or company executivesĀ
Research and evaluate customer application and necessary aftermarket partsto properly size and/or develop an aftermarket recommendation that meets the customerās needsĀ
Ensure the establishment of industry contacts and develop a list of potential customersĀ
Follow up on sales leads and make cold callsĀ
Maintain updated understanding of industry trends, technical developments, and government regulations that effect target marketsĀ
Proactively act to close sales and finalizecontractsĀ
Meet established sales quotas and revenue goalsĀ
Resolve customerās problems with product and/or servicesĀ
Follow up on product deliveriesĀ
Monitor and work within established expense allowanceĀ
Generate detailed scope of supply (PMU) and provide to Application Engineer or Service Manager for processingĀ
Update and maintain Quote LogsĀ
Maintain Sales Itinerary Report (Weekly)Ā
Maintain Sales Calls Report (Monthly)Ā

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Well-developed sales and presentation skillsĀ
Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelĀ
Strong knowledge of Power Generation equipmentĀ
Basic mechanical and technical aptitude including geometric and other mathematical formulasĀ
Excellent oral and written communication skillsĀ
Proven interpersonal skills with both internal and external customersĀ
Basic marketing knowledgeĀ
Must be able to handle high pressure situations and adapt well to changes in the marketĀ

Compensation:
Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary for this role is $72,000 - $107,000. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidateās relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.Ā On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
