We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician to join our senior living facility. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Administer prescribed medications to residents according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each resident, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications and report findings to nursing staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans based on residents' needs.
  • Provide support and assistance in daily living activities as needed, including personal hygiene and mobility.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents with dementia or developmental disabilities.
  • Stay informed about changes in medication protocols, policies, and best practices within the healthcare field.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience as a Medication Technician for at least 6 months is preferred
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in senior care or home care environments, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and documentation practices is essential.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or dementia is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of medical records management and adherence to HIPAA regulations is required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
