Conducts performance appraisals on assigned staff. Patrols assigned buildings,  grounds and parking lots, monitors building entrances and locks/unlocks doors per administrative schedules. Inspects  elevators, fire alarms, fire extinguishers and other facilities on a regular basis. Responds to calls for assistance and  hazardous situations, notifies the Stockton police department in case of emergency, and files related reports. Handles  reported security incidents, investigates, prepares written incident reports. See essential job duties. This is a non-union  position. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  1. Maintains scheduling for the security staff.  2. Conducts performance appraisals on assigned staff  3. Patrols assigned buildings, grounds and parking lots, monitors building entrances and locks/unlocks doors per administrative schedules.  4. Inspects elevators, fire alarms, fire extinguishers and other facilities on a regular basis, prepares inspection reports for monitoring purposes.  5. Responds to calls for assistance and hazardous situations, notifies the Stockton police department in case of emergency, and files related reports.  6. Provides information to visitors, patients, and vendors and directs them to the correct person or department.  7. Coordinates and schedules security training and awareness programs.  8. With the guidance of the local law enforcement agency, conducts Security Assessment of grounds, and buildings.  9. Implements Dameron Hospital mandated security initiatives as required.  10. Handles reported security incidents, investigates, prepares written incident reports.  11. Assists Dameron Hospital departments to identify security requirements, complete required state reports and statistics collection.  12. Serves as liaison with various state and local fire and safety officials and DHA departments.  13. Maintains awareness and participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) to ensure a safe patient environment.  14. Attends and actively participates in team conferences and staff meetings.  15. Participates actively in orientation and on-the-job training of assigned personnel.  16. Adheres to all Dameron Hospital Association policies and procedures, safety rules, JCAHO standards, Department of Health Services (DHS) regulations and any other regulatory agency.  17. Provides methodology for dissemination of information providing opportunities for discussions of division problems, orientation of new projects, procedures, etc.  18. Performs all tasks demonstrating service orientation to fellow employees and staff members to provide excellent customer service.  19. Demonstrates, supports and models the mission, vision, values and rules of conduct of Dameron Hospital Association.  20. Communicates appropriately and effectively to support the department mission.  NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  21. Willingly performs other duties as assigned or requested. QualificationsEducation: High school graduate or equivalent  Experience: 3 years of documented work experience as a Security Officer and or Supervisor in a commercial, industrial or institutional facility    Licenses/Certificates: California Security Guard Card
