Job DetailsJob Location: Stockton, CA 95203Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $49.05 - $59.74 HourlyJob Shift: AnyPOSITION SUMMARY: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: under the supervision of the Radiologist, the technologist is responsible for administering x-rays to patients. Operates X-ray equipment, processes images in computerized radiology(CR) and Picture Archiving Communication Systems (PACS), prepares examination room and patient for procedure. Stocks supplies and materials for the department. Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations, also be able to employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures. Also, must participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include the wearing of a respirator. This is a union position. See Essential Job Functions. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Prepares room, equipment, materials as needed for patients.  2. Cleans and disinfect X-Ray equipment.  3. Prepares barium and other contrast medium for x-rays.  4. Prepares patients for x-ray exam; explains procedures, transfers patients to table, positions the patient and assists patient at end of procedures. 5. Assists the Radiologist with invasive and non-invasive procedures.  6. Follows prescribed techniques in administering x-ray radiation to patients.  7. Adheres to age specific policy for quality of x-ray radiation to patients.  8. Processes images in Computerized Radiology (CR) and Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS). 9. Observes patient and machine during procedure and reports unusual occurrences to Radiologist and nurse.  10. Maintains stock supplies and performs general office duties. Takes mobile unit to patient’s room, ER or the OR.  11. Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support department areas as directed ensuring patient safety and comfort. 12. Takes call when requested. QualificationsEducation: Completion of Radiologic Health Sciences of California program Experience: Preferred but not required. Licenses/Certificates:  California State CRT license and State Fluoroscopy Permit  Current BLS Certification through AHA required, ARRT license preferred.
