Lighting Services Inc is seeking an Applications Engineer to serve as a key technical resource supporting sales teams, specifiers, representatives, and clients. This role strengthens LSI鈥檚 public-facing technical presence through expert guidance, product education, and high quality technical documentation.
Responsibilities:聽
路 Provide responsive technical support for clients, specifiers, and sales teams.
路 Evaluate specification requirements and develop clear technical recommendations.
路 Produce feasibility analyses, photometric studies, TM 30 reports, IES files, and supporting documentation.
路 Interpret architectural and electrical drawings and assist with material take offs when needed.
路 Develop, maintain, and deliver product training for internal teams and external partners.
路 Support project workflows by contributing to quoting, documentation, and submittal packages.
路 Maintain organization and readiness of LSI鈥檚 photometric testing facilities.
路 Participate in industry events and stay current with lighting standards and technologies.
Skills Required:聽
路 Strong knowledge of track lighting and specification grade products.
路 Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting technical information.
路 Ability to create clear, accurate technical content and documentation.
路 Proficiency with photometric data, TM 30, IES files, and related analysis (preferred).
路 Highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable working across teams.
Education and Experience:
路 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in engineering or related technical experience.
路 3+ years of experience in lighting, engineering, or a related technical field.
路 High-energy individual with a positive attitude and team-oriented approach to work.聽
