Job Description:
Interested in automation, PLCs, and manufacturing? PSA is looking for skilled & motivated team players for a summer internship! This is a great opportunity for those that desire to work with machinery and enjoy new challenges.
Position Description:Â
This role is responsible for completing machine quality control testing and documentation for new packaging equipment, specifically fillers and cappers. This includes working alongside engineers and field service / assembly technicians to verify machine functionality. Testing will require engaging with the touchscreen human-machine-interface (HMI), reviewing the control cabinet, reading schematics, and getting online with the PLC. There may be opportunities to travel by following a machine into the field to see installation at a customer facility. Team member will gain exposure to Rockwell control systems and devices such as transformers, relays, PLCs and motor drives. Softwares that will be used include AutoCAD Electrical, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to travel at least one week of the session if opportunity arises
- Position would report to our Stow office during normal business hours
Compensation:
The approximate pay for this position is $21-23/hr. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
