SUMMARY

As a Full Time employee, You will Greets and assists guest using the fitness center; Maintains the facility by picking up/replacing towels, testing water, assists guests waiting for massages, and handles retail sales and light housekeeping .


This position is a seasonal position ending mid-April.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Greets guests in the fitness facility.

Maintain clean and presentable registration/workplace.

Acquires information from shift and passes on pertinent information to next shift agent.

Picks up wet towels and bags them for Housemen to pick up; replenishes dry towels.

Handles retail sales for the fitness center; makes change as needed. Records sales appropriately.

Answers phone

Makes bookings for massages.

Test pool water per established schedule. Record results appropriately.

Answer guest questions regarding use of fitness equipment.

Handles guest complaints, suggestions or problems quickly, efficiently and courteously.

Performs light housekeeping/cleaning as needed.

Replenishes water and cups for water cooler as needed.

Handles F&B sales at the outdoor pool in summer; serves the food/drinks.

Acts as liaison for other departments to ensure working relationships and communication.

Acquires information from shift and passes on pertinent information to next shift.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High-school diploma / Minimum of one year fitness oriented, customer service experience, with office machines and cash handling. CPR and First Aid certification and experience working at a pool preferred.

2. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, and interpret memos, reports, procedures, and/or regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of guests, co-workers, and the general public with diplomacy and tact.

3. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to make and record sales, including making change.

4. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret and act on a variety of instructions which may be furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.

5. OTHER SKILLS, CHARACTERISTICS OR QUALIFICATIONS: Must be good with customers and maintain a good attitude at all times. Always maintain a presentable look and be willing to help customers or co-workers at any given time. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task, while maintaining a calm, professional and positive attitude.

1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and often lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to move lawn furniture, mop up water, vacuum pools, shovel snow and carry wet/dry pool towels around the pool/fitness center, including going up/down stairs.

1. The duties of this job require varied shifts, including split shifts at times. This position requires going in and out of buildings, walking around the property from pool to pool/fitness center/main lodge, sometimes in inclement weather. Noise level is moderate to loud.
