Senior Accountant

Full-Time | Onsite | Manufacturing Environment

About the Role

Amprod, a rapidly growing manufacturing organization with multiple divisions and an international subsidiary, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a driven accounting professional who enjoys financial analysis, cross‑functional collaboration, and working in a fast‑paced, growth‑focused environment.

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close, and providing meaningful financial insights. You will work closely with the Controller and Director of Finance to strengthen accounting processes, support audits, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations and monthly analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Record, review, and maintain financial transactions in the ERP system
  • Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Prepare financial reports and perform detailed financial analysis to support business decisions
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Support biweekly payroll processing
  • Assist the Controller with audit preparation and third‑party information requests

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Associate’s degree with significant accounting experience will be considered
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required

Technical and Industry Experience

  • Experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • ERP system experience preferred (Syteline strongly preferred)
  • Manufacturing accounting experience preferred
  • Cost accounting experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with foreign currency transactions (Canada preferred)

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving skills
  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to collaborate across departments

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Office and manufacturing environment
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Use of personal protective equipment including safety glasses and steel‑toe boots when required
  • Limited travel may be required
