Friendly Connections, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that supports adults with developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey. We are looking for a highly organized, dependable, and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. This is an in-office position where you will play an important role in supporting our administrative operations, staff, individuals receiving services, and their families.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering and directing phone calls and emails
  • Assisting with new client and employee intake
  • Communicating professionally with individuals receiving services, families, support coordinators, and staff
  • Assisting with recruitment and hiring activities
  • Posting and managing job advertisements on online hiring platforms
  • Screening applicants and scheduling interviews
  • Helping maintain employee and client records
  • Assisting with onboarding paperwork and administrative compliance
  • Supporting our social media interns by helping coordinate content, schedules, and projects
  • Assisting with general office organization and administrative projects
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous office or administrative experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Comfortable learning new software and online systems
  • Experience with social media platforms is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and a team player
